Through a series of fun (and slightly competitive) activities, teams will come together with the overall goal of earning enough parts to build the perfect bike. The best part? Well that has to be the smile on a child’s face as they take a look at their brand-new bike for the first time. The impact that this program has on the local community and on the participating teams cannot be matched.

We know you are going to love the Bikes for Tykes program as much as we do! But let’s take a closer look at what you can expect come event day.

The Challenges

We will work with you to deliver a series of fun and challenging activities for your team, that align with your event objectives. Teams will need to bring their ‘A’ game as they work to triumphantly complete as many activities as possible if they want to earn maximum points and pieces to successfully build their bikes.

The Build

Once the teams have earned all the pieces of their bikes, it’s time to put those building caps on. Teams will race against the clock as they aim to build the best quality bike in the quickest time. But watch out, if your bike isn’t up to the bike mechanic’s standards… you may be left in the dust of the other teams.

The Judging

Upon submission to the bicycle mechanic, each team will be given a score based on quality and accuracy of the build by each team. Bike building will be judged on everything from tightness of screws, tension of brakes, through to overall presentation of the bike. You will be on the edge of your seat as the last scores roll in and the winners are announced!

THE Surprise

But just when you think that the day couldn’t get any better, the doors will open to reveal the real stars of the day. Representatives from a children’s charity will enter with the lucky recipients of the children’s bikes. As you wipe away the tears the representative from your chosen charity will say a few words of thanks and provide some insight to the children you have helped for the day, leaving everyone with plenty of warm and fuzzy feelings.

Our team were so touched by the opportunity to build bikes for families and make their Christmas a little brighter. It was a wonderful experience for all.
