Charity Chef is a purpose-driven culinary challenge where teams design, cook, and present their best main course; but the real reward is what happens next. While one dish is plated for judging, the rest are packed up and whisked away to a local charity in a heartfelt surprise that delivers impact beyond the kitchen. This is play with purpose, blending flavour, fun and community.

Thankyou for a fantastic event! The team had a blast and were really engaged throughout and loved the activity. As a remote team that’s spread across the country, it was a great way to build in person connection in a casual and relaxed environment while also building our skills of communication, planning, negotiation and problem solving. It’s fantastic to know that the proceeds are going to a really great cause too!

How it Works
Yes Chef
The experience begins with a warm welcome from your event facilitator and professional chef, who set the tone for the day: creativity, collaboration, and culinary purpose. Each team is tasked with designing and cooking a standout main course using a shared pantry of ingredients. After a short planning session, teams delegate roles, sketch their menu, and get straight into the kitchen.
Ready set cook
With aprons tied and pans heating, it’s all systems go. While one part of the team focuses on perfecting the flavours for judging, others prepare extra portions, each one carefully packed into heat-proof containers.
The competition
As the final seconds tick down, dishes are plated for the judges. Each team presents their creation, sharing their culinary concept and how they brought it to life under pressure. Judging is based on taste, creativity, teamwork and presentation.
The twist
Then comes the twist.
Just as the winners are crowned, the day takes on deeper meaning: the meals prepared will be delivered to a local charity that very evening. It’s a moment that shifts the energy in the room; from proud competition to collective impact. What started as a cooking challenge becomes a gift of kindness.
