Corporate Challenge Events has been named one of the top five team-building providers in the 2026 SPICE Hot 100 Services and Suppliers, following a public vote by readers and professionals from across the Australian and New Zealand events industry.
The annual SPICE Hot 100 recognises the services and suppliers that event professionals consider among the best in the business. Voting is open to SPICE readers, who nominate and support organisations across 20 categories covering the business-events sector.
The five providers receiving the most votes in each category are named joint winners. Corporate Challenge Events was selected as one of the five winners in the team-building category for 2026.
Unlike an internally judged award or paid accreditation, the SPICE Hot 100 is shaped by the opinions of people working within the events industry. That makes the result particularly meaningful for a company that has spent more than 30 years working alongside corporate clients, event planners, venues and industry partners.
Recognition from the events industry
SPICE is a recognised source of news and information for the Australian and New Zealand business-events community. Its readership includes event planners, conference organisers, executive assistants, venue professionals, tourism representatives and suppliers from throughout the industry.
Each year, SPICE invites its readers to vote for their preferred businesses across categories including event management, catering, technology, entertainment and team building. All eligible Australian and New Zealand services and suppliers can be nominated, with the five highest-voted organisations in each category forming the Hot 100.
For Corporate Challenge Events, being voted into the top five is an endorsement of both the experiences it delivers and the people behind them.
Dwain Richardson, General Manager of Corporate Challenge Events, said the recognition belonged to the entire team.
“Being voted one of the top five team-building providers by people within the events industry is incredibly meaningful to us. This recognition belongs to our entire team, who bring energy, care and professionalism to every client and every event. For more than 30 years, we have believed in the Power of Play to bring people together, and it is wonderful to see that work recognised by the industry we are so proud to be part of.
A team achievement from beginning to end
While participants experience the energy and excitement of an event on the day, every successful team-building program is supported by a much larger collective effort.
It begins with understanding what a client wants their people to experience or achieve. From there, the Corporate Challenge Events team works across sales, program design, event planning, logistics, operations and facilitation to create an experience suited to the group, location and purpose.
The company’s regional teams and facilitators then bring each program to life, adapting to the people in front of them and creating an environment where everyone can participate. The work continues after the final activity through client support, feedback and the long-term relationships that lead many organisations to return year after year.
This SPICE Hot 100 recognition reflects the contribution made at every stage of that client journey.
It also recognises the trust placed in Corporate Challenge Events by clients, venue partners and event professionals across Australia and New Zealand. Their votes helped place the company among the five most-supported team-building providers in the 2026 category.
More than 30 years powered by play
Corporate Challenge Events has been creating team-building experiences since 1994. What began as a belief that people work better together when given the opportunity to play has grown into an extensive range of programs delivered across Australia and New Zealand.
Today, its team-building activities include competitive challenges, creative experiences, outdoor adventures, charity programs and facilitated team-development workshops.
Programs such as Bikes for Tykes, LEGO Legends, Give a Dog a Home, City Scramble, Mini Olympics, Survivor and Play Offs are designed to engage different personalities while encouraging communication, collaboration, problem-solving and shared achievement.
The experiences may vary, but they are united by one central idea: play is not simply a break from work. When used with purpose, it can help people lower barriers, build stronger relationships, practise new behaviours and see their colleagues from a different perspective.
Corporate Challenge Events refers to this as the Power of Play.
The company’s approach combines serious intent with genuine fun. A team may spend an afternoon solving challenges, building something together, exploring a city or supporting a charity, but the experience is designed to create something that lasts beyond the event itself.
That could be a new conversation between colleagues, greater trust across departments, a renewed sense of energy or simply a positive shared memory that gives people another reason to feel part of the team.
A monumental year, with more still to come
The SPICE Hot 100 recognition arrives during what has already been a monumental year for Corporate Challenge Events, but the company is far from finished.
In 2026, Corporate Challenge Events became the exclusive Australasian partner of the National Institute for Play, NIFPlay, strengthening its commitment to bringing credible, evidence-led play science into workplaces across Australia and New Zealand.
Founded by Dr Stuart Brown, NIFPlay is a global leader in the science of play. Its work has helped reshape how play is understood, positioning it not as a distraction or optional extra, but as a biological drive that supports human development and wellbeing throughout life.
Through the exclusive partnership, Corporate Challenge Events is working with NIFPlay to translate this research into practical education, experiences and tools for modern workplaces. The aim is to help leaders understand why play matters and how it can support the conditions teams need to connect, adapt, learn and work well together under pressure.
This represents an important evolution for a company that has spent more than 30 years creating play-based team experiences. Corporate Challenge Events is building on that practical experience by connecting it with the science behind why play has such a powerful effect on people and teams.
The partnership has already led to new workplace education, team experiences, research insights and resources for leaders. It also signals the next stage of the company’s journey, taking the Power of Play beyond individual events and helping organisations make it a more intentional part of how their people work, lead and interact.
Being named in the 2026 SPICE Hot 100 adds another significant milestone to that journey. It celebrates the reputation Corporate Challenge Events has built while reinforcing the opportunity ahead.
The company thanks every client, event professional, venue partner and supporter who voted in the 2026 SPICE Hot 100. Most importantly, it recognises the people across the business whose creativity, professionalism and enthusiasm made the result possible.
More than 30 years after its journey began, Corporate Challenge Events is proud of how far it has come, excited about where it is heading and more committed than ever to using the Power of Play to make a positive difference for teams across Australia and New Zealand.
