Corporate Challenge Events and V2 Helicopters launch Charter & Challenge in Queensland

Brisbane, Queensland, October 2026.

A team boards a helicopter at Archerfield Airport. South East Queensland opens up below as they travel towards a challenge they will take on together after landing. That is the idea behind Charter & Challenge, a new collaboration between Corporate Challenge Events and V2 Helicopters that turns the journey, arrival and team activity into one occasion.

The partners have developed five experiences across South East Queensland, pairing private helicopter charters with professionally facilitated team building programs. Teams can head for an island, a mountain lodge, an open-country retreat, a lakeside vineyard or a waterfront destination. Each location has its own choice of challenges, so organisers can pick the kind of day that suits their people rather than fitting every group into the same itinerary.

The launch arrives as employers plan how to thank their teams at the end of the year. It gives organisers a way to make that recognition tangible: time away together, an extraordinary arrival and something to take part in once they get there. The day can be competitive, investigative or collaborative, but everyone shares the experience from the first flight to the last conversation on the way home. For a team that has spent the year meeting deadlines and solving problems, the occasion offers a change of pace and a chance to enjoy doing something together.

Play has always been at the heart of how we help teams connect,” says Dwain Richardson, General Manager of Corporate Challenge Events. “What excites me about working with V2 is the chance to build that connection into an experience that begins well before the first challenge. The charter creates a real sense of occasion. Then, when the team lands, everyone has a chance to get involved, contribute and celebrate what they achieve together. For organisers looking to reward their people, that’s a powerful way to say thank you.

Two specialists, one experience

V2 Helicopters has operated from Archerfield Airport since 2009. The Brisbane company conducts more than 1,000 flights each year across scenic flights, private charters and professional flight training. Its team brings the aviation planning, pilots and personal service to Charter & Challenge, helping shape a flight that feels like part of the celebration.

Creating memorable journeys has always been at the heart of what we do. What makes working with Corporate Challenge so exciting is the opportunity to make the flight part of the team experience itself. The anticipation on the way to the challenge and the laughs on the flight home. A private charter creates a real sense of occasion, and we take great care to make every journey feel personal, seamless and special from departure to landing.”

-Stuart Coulter, General Manager

Corporate Challenge Events brings more than 30 years of experience in team events. Its facilitators have delivered programs and workshops to more than 750,000 participants across Australia and New Zealand. For this collaboration, they bring the challenges, game design and facilitation that give teams a reason to engage with one another when they reach the ground.

Together, the two teams can plan the experience around the group, from the choice of destination and program to the flight arrangements. An organiser might want to reward a small leadership team, mark a project milestone or bring colleagues together after a busy year. The program can reflect that purpose, while the helicopter gives the gathering an unmistakable beginning. The five launch offers give organisers a place to start.

Five ways to fly, land and play

Sky to Shore | Tangalooma Island Resort

For an island day, the crossing is part of the thrill. The mainland recedes, Moreton Bay opens up below, and Tangalooma comes into view before the team reaches its challenge. Island Survivor brings strategy, teamwork and hands-on trials into the day. Just Tangalooma It takes a different route, turning the resort into a game board for teams to explore. Both give colleagues a reason to discover the island together, with the charter home providing a final look at where it all unfolded.

Above the Clouds | Spicers Peak Lodge

At 1,100 metres above sea level, arriving at Spicers Peak Lodge by helicopter sets a remarkable stage. Here the choices are about judgement under pressure. In Mission Impossible: Spicers Peak, teams work through a sequence of problems and decisions. The Lodge: Risk Reward invites them to weigh their options and back a call. The mountain setting adds a sense of occasion; the real action is in the debate, quick thinking and trust that the programs draw out.

Into the Vale | Spicers Hidden Vale

This experience begins with the team looking down over the country it is about to enter. At Spicers Hidden Vale, Survivor brings changing tactics and team trials to the ground. Hidden (Fugitive) takes the day in another direction: follow the clues, search the landscape and find someone determined to remain unseen. It is a choice between facing the next twist together and pursuing an answer, with plenty of room for different people to take the lead.

The Estate Games | The Overflow Estate 1895

The helicopter arrival at this lakeside vineyard gives the team an entrance to remember. Then the focus shifts to the people beside them. The 1895 Play Offs creates an opportunity for friendly rivalry across a series of challenges, while Mission Impossible: The Overflow calls for collaboration and problem solving. The estate also gives organisers space to build a celebration around the program, so teams can enjoy the setting and each other’s company after the final result.

The Sandstone Escape | Sandstone Point Hotel

At Sandstone Point Hotel, the challenge can unfold as a race or a mystery. Sandstone Point Scramble gives teams a clock to beat and a reason to move together. Safe Crack @ Sandstone draws them into a diamond-smuggling story, where clues, competing theories and careful teamwork shape the outcome. The Moreton Bay waterfront provides the backdrop, but the arguments over who found the crucial clue may last much longer than the game.

A charter built around the group

The five locations are the beginning of the offer. Organisers with a different destination in mind can discuss other approved landing sites, from marinas to mountain retreats, and work with the partners on an itinerary suited to their group. The program choice, route, timing and venue arrangements are considered together, with final details subject to flight requirements, landing access, capacity and availability.

Larger groups have another option: begin the challenge at V2’s Archerfield hangar and weave helicopter flights through the program. Participants can be involved from the outset while flights become part of the activity, even when the whole team cannot travel in one aircraft at once. The format opens the idea to groups whose size might otherwise seem to rule out a charter experience.

For an organiser, the appeal is the chance to give the team a day with a clear sense of occasion and a reason to participate. A flight gets people talking before they land. A facilitated challenge brings different strengths into play: one person spots a clue, another holds the group to a decision, and someone else finds the move no one expected. The reward is in those moments as much as in the destination.

Charter & Challenge is available for Queensland group enquiries. To explore a date, destination and program, email queensland@corporatechallenge.com.au with the approximate group size.
